1919年武如品创办了“美泰”食品店，苦心经营，到了三十年代，“美泰”发展很快，于是又组建了“美泰”食品糖果公司。“美泰”自产自销各式西点，如饼干、蛋糕、面包等，品种多达百余种。店堂内开设茶座，出售各式西式茶点和冷热饮料，自制的冰淇淋更是蜚声一时。

Mattel Candy Company

In 1919, Wu Rupin founded the “Mattel” food store. Through painstaking management, by the 1930s, “Mattel” had developed rapidly. As a result, the “Mattel” Food and Candy Company was established. “Mattel” produced and sold various Western – style pastries, such as biscuits, cakes, bread, etc., with more than a hundred varieties. There were tea seats set up in the store, selling all kinds of Western – style refreshments and hot and cold beverages. Its self – made ice – cream was very famous at that time.
