银楼是旧时生产金银首饰器皿并从事交易的商店，“荣华银楼” （位于解放路）为久负盛名的宜昌老字号之一，经营金银饰品，款式新颖，工艺精细。截止到1936年左右，宜昌金银首饰店就达到30多家，每天的黄金销售额，达到数百两之多。

A boutique jewellery in old times was a store that produced and traded gold and silver jewelry and utensils. Ronghua boutique jewellery (located on Jiefang Road) is one of the well – renowned time – honored brands in Yichang. It deals in gold and silver ornaments, boasting novel designs and exquisite craftsmanship. By around 1936, there were over 30 gold and silver jewelry stores in Yichang, with the daily gold sales volume reaching several hundred taels.
